Alivio: Supporting Field Workers

Alivio is dedicated to enhancing workplace quality and welfare for field workers in Yuma, Arizona, ensuring their voices are heard.

About Alivio

Alivio is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for field workers in Yuma, Arizona. Our mission is to advocate for workplace improvements and promote the welfare of those who contribute so much to our community. We obtained the name from the fact that ALIVIO is the Spanish word for help or relief and is an acronym for Agricultural Latino & Immigrant Valued Impact Organization.

Care Packages:

We partnered with Organicgirl farms to collect data on what fieldworkers would want most in their care packages. In the end, we created a total of 21 care packages, which included: long-sleeve shirts, hats, gloves, first aid kits, flashlights, and glove warmers.

Teens Teach Tech:

We teamed up with the organization Teens Teach Tech, which pays teenagers for teaching the elderly tech concepts.

KYMA News:

We had the opportunity to be interviewed by KYMA about our creation of care packages.
